Just in time for the Holiday season! This limited edition run is a gorgeous medley consisting of deep vermillion/poinsettia red with brighter tones that you find on poinsettia leaves, and a lush dark green with slight blue undertones. Each skein has a whisp of white and a very subtle golden color to refelct the medieval manuscript the skeins are inspired by. The various colors throughout help create more dimension and depth to your project. I thought that it would help the color transitions especially if you are knitting/crocheting clothing, so you don't get a blocky transition from one color to another.

As an added bonus you get a mini skein that is a blended twist of speckled red and green which compliments the deep skein and offsets the darkness of the red and green colorway. This is perfect if you want to knit up some socks, a shawl, or create a wonderful project of your choosing.

10% of profits are going directly to Save the Children's Gaza Relief.

Each package contains one large skein and one mini skein.

Yuletide Medley: Each large skein is 75% merino and 25% nylon. Superwash sock weight in 4 ply. 400m (437y)/100g.

Medieval Mistletoe: Each mini skein is 75% merino and 25% nylon. Superwash sock weight in 4 ply. 80m (87y)/20g.

Description: The merino gives natural elasticity which is boosted with the nylon so you get great movement and stretch but it will bounce back wonderfully into shape. The merino fibres are not itchy or scratchy on the skin. The yarn is perfect for socks but can equally can be knitted into scarves, shawls, bags, granny squares, tops, or baby garments which will feel soft next to the skin due to the fine merino used. As this is superwash, you can wash your finished product in a washing machine. Recommended not to use water hotter than 30°C.

Manuscript image is a detail of a miniature of a stag, and a satyr holding a mug and enjoying the festive season. Fro an astronomical text, Germany or Austria, 1491, Arundel MS 299, f. 4v., British Library.
