The process of hand-dyeing yarn takes some practice to get the hang of different techniques and methods, but it's super fun. However, as with all science-y things, not everything goes quite to plan.
Our Medieval Mishaps section offers some of our skeins that haven't quite turned out as expected. There is absolutely nothing wrong that would affect the quality of these skeins. The yarn is always in tact and handled with the utmost care, it's just that the colorway may not have been a correct match for a larger batch, for example. Other times, experiments for new colorways goes a little wacky or existing colorways just aren't 100% perfect.
These skeins are one-offs offered at a reduced price. If one catches your eye, you better snatch it up because when it's gone, it's gone for good.
