This is fibre but not the edible kind for feasting. This colorway has bursts of emerald, sapphire, poinsettia red, and gold on a merino/donegal base with colorful neps. These are the traditional colors of the 19th century nutcracker but also colors pulled from the medieval feast manuscript. Layers of history and color! It sounds busy but it's not, there's enough space in-between each color to provide a calm template. The base is a DK merino/donegal blend that contains some little neps that are red, green, blue, and yellow colored. The jewel-toned greens weave in and out in intensity on the skein with a splash of emerald to give your projects dimension and depth and allows the specks to stand out. And the beautiful soft non-scratchy wool will work up beautifully.
Yuletide Feast: Each large skein is 85% merino wool and 15% donegal. Superwash DK weight. 212m (231.8y)/100g. Each package comes with festive stitch markers.
10% of sales will go to a family in Gaza. We are helping Dr. Saber Alasmar's family. He is an ICU doctor currently working in Nasser Medical Complex in the south of Gaza Strip. Along with funds from this yarn, 50% or 100% of all sales from Palestine related skeins go towards supporting him. Thank you for your support and solidarity.
