This fun Limited Edition skein celebrates the 3rd Anniversary of Republic of Yarnia. This colorway captures a slightly chaotic apocalyptic scene in a 15th century German manuscript that gives us strange vertical cosmology.
Each skein echoes the stacked zones of the illumination: fiery copper/orange with a touch of magnolia at the top = the celestial realm. The divine glow teal/blue transition zone = the living/angelic intermediary space and the saturated blue-violet = the chaotic demonic lower air/waters. The neon neps are not an accident! They reimagine the manuscript sparkle and scattered illumination pigments. It gives “freshly illuminated manuscript under candlelight” rather than modern splatter.
