Golden Grace Green

March's inspiration comes from this striking image of an 1852 oil painting by the Swiss painter Jean-Baptiste Bonjour (1801-1882). The portrait is signed, dated, and given the title “Portrait of a young lady, a free person of colour.”

This month is all about green, so this is a perfect colorway with an additional Suri Silk Haze mini skein. The tonal green is meant to reflect the beautiful dress this young lady adorns. Instead of making this a complete solid, I thought that the tonal variation in each skein would create more dimension to your projects and add some depth. You’ll also notice that the green has a slight blue undertone, which I tend to do because I love the way that undertone lifts green. Because this is the 1 year anniversary of the beginning of this monthly club, I’ve included a bonus mini skein. This is a golden yellow suri silk haze mini.
