February's Colorway: Petals & Presence

February's colorway is based on a painting of this beautiful Black woman who is in the background of an 18thc English painting. She was recorded as someone who was a "sitter" for 2 sessions, so we know she was real, although she isn't named. Here we bring her to the foreground to celebrate her, her beauty and to celebrate Black History Month in February.
The base is a soft and shiny merino/tencel blend based on the satin dress and flowery garland sash that our figure is holding. To match our yarn club, Spinners will get roving that is a merino/tencel blend and a special luxury sample. You'll learn more about this gorgeous figure, get some tea, be provided with some pattern ideas for crocheters, knitters and spinners, and receive a postcard with the figure and some info on her.
The write-up on our figure of the month will be available in the portal section (or included in your packages if you want) for members along with suggested patterns for knitters and crocheters.
